"Payettonesia and other strange places" was one of my old album projects that I kept pushing aside even though the music composed for it is some of my favorite. As years passed, I found it weird to complete a project where the central piece has been done in 2014. Instead of doing a big project with it, I opted for 3 songs. Travel is one my major theme in my work, and these 3 songs are all about that.

First, you begin at the harbor. Your prepare for the trip, only thinking about your destination. Then, you arrive at Payettonesia during the night. You lose yourself in the woods, you find an old shrine, then find your way back to Payettonesia and witness the sun waking across the sea. 4 years later, the memories have faded but when you see the postcard on your wall by the door, you remember the scent of the sea.

"Payettonésie et autres lieux étranges" était un de mes vieux projets que je repoussais d'année en année même si la musique que j'avais composé pour l'album fait encore partie de mes pièces préférées. Après plusieurs années, je trouvais ça bizarre de compléter le projet avec de la musique récente alors que le morceau phare avait été composé en 2014. Donc, au lieu de faire un gros projet, j'ai décidé que ça allait être 3 pièces. Le voyage est un thème majeur récurrent dans ma musique et ces 3 pièces parlent 100% de ça.

Au début, tu commences au port. Tu te prépares pour le voyage, anticipant avec hâte ton arrivé. Ensuite, tu arrives en Payettonésie durant la nuit. Tu te perds dans les bois, tu trouves un vieux sanctuaire, et tu retrouves ton chemin vers la Payettonésie. Le soleil se réveille depuis les vagues. 4 années plus tard, les souvenirs s'estompent, mais quand tu vois la carte postale sur le mur à côté de la porte, tu te rappelles de l'odeur de la mer.
